Part 1: Understanding Health, Holistically

Traditional medicine systems such as Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine share in common the same principle with other modern natural systems that can effectively heal disease such as vitamin therapy, naturopathy and homeopathy. Without understanding the underlying principle, it seems that these approaches are in conflict. In reality, they all work according to the principle of balance.

During this weekend, you will be introduced to the principle of balance and a longevity approach that takes the mystery out of why people get sick and gives you the necessary steps to wellness.  Learn why the key to health is diet, lifestyle, the environment and our personal view of life and health as they apply to our individual health conditions.

A new healthy eating pattern based on the common foods of cultures around the world will be taught.

A new method of holistic diagnosis will be presented that will give you insights into a person’s condition and health that seem mystical, but are really practical.

Learn key lifestyle practices to help people restore their health, healing remedies and about the problems with modern eating. Find out why specific foods can lead to sickness even on natural foods diets. Through the principle of balance, you will find out that the secrets of health and healing are not that secret at all.

Part 2: Putting it All Together:  Deciphering Natural Health for Modern Health Coaches

Modern health coaches have some knowledge of many disciplines. The Traditional medicine disciplines can be confusing for modern people since they come from another time and place. During this weekend, you will learn to how to adjust Ayurveda, Chinese and holistic medical practices for North Americans and other modern people worldwide. Insights can be gained by connecting the common understandings of these and other traditional systems with modern medicine and biology.  You will learn how to use remedies from food, herbs and supplements for many common health problems.

Building on John’s first weekend training program, you will learn how to assess a person’s genetic strengths and weaknesses. This is done through observation techniques from John’s holistic form of east west diagnosis and other integrated methods of diagnosis which will help you to assess a person’s state of health.

5-Day Module
This training is part of the 800-hour (Level 2) Yoga Therapist Certification

In this seminar, we will focus on how to develop a practical and useful understanding and application of the energetics of Ayurvedic and Chinese Taoist medicines, and western biology and science. Over the course of the last 40 years, I’ve studied and utilized the teachings of Yoga, Ayurvedic and Chinese medicines, and western science seeking the common thread that runs through these systems. I have found that these systems complement, enliven and enlighten each other. What results from this synthesis is a broader view of health and life than any one system alone gives.
