My Transition from a Yoga Teacher to a Yoga Therapist

When I first started teaching yoga, and a student would come to me before (or during) a yoga class and say: "I have pain in - fill in the blank for body part - and it hurts when I do - fill in the blank for movement or yoga pose" I used to respond: "Ok so take it easy when we do - fill in the blank for movement/pose that related to their body-part.

The training I had received as a yoga teacher up to that point had not prepared me or taught me how to address my student's physical aches and pain issues beyond this simple advice.

That all changed in 2005 after learning an amazing therapeutic system based on Universal Principles of Alignment™. Instead of just telling a student to "take it easy", I would asked them to stay after class, and inquire further about their issue. When they performed the movement or yoga pose that caused pain, I had the tools to verbally and manually adjust their alignment and remove their pain - many cases instantaneously!

I've expanded and evolved this incredible methodology by incorporating principles and techniques from other ground-breaking modalities including osteopathy and holistic medicine.

I am pleased to offer you this life-changing Structural Alignment Yoga Therapy Training!

The SAYT program provides a comprehensive methodology based on Therapeutic Alignment Principles and techniques that will transform the way you practice and teach yoga/movement/fitness/Pilates/sports.

You will learn how to address postural issues, injuries and repetitive stress conditions for each segment of the body incorporating both scientific (anatomical, biomechanical) and subtle (holistic therapeutic) theories and techniques.

Structural Alignment Yoga Therapy can be effective as a stand-alone modality and/or may be used in conjunction with other forms of therapy.
